    Teaser EPIDEMIC: Theatre de Colère

Teaser EPIDEMIC: Theatre de Colère from MahaWorks on Vimeo.

Film titel: ‘EPIDEMIC: Theatre de Colère’
    Country: Belgium

A film by Lazara Rosell Albear
Part of the project 'EPIDEMIC: Theatre de Colère' from Ben Benaouisse, Einat Tuchman, Kurt Vandendriessche, Helmut Van den Meersschaut, Stijn Dickel and Chris Van der Burght

Synopsis: During 5 days various artists worked around the theme of permanent rage at Hoet Bekaert Gallery in Ghent, Belgium. Inspired by the film Epidemic directed by Lars von Trier they unconsiously readapted the original script. They engaged on a contrapuntal instantly performatic investigation at an open but secluded espace. They started with the last chapter of the filmwork and arrived to an end with the first. An energic, poetic and emotional extreem world as a result. Lazara Rosell Albear shot the performances during the five days for the making of a film. An intimistic and raw portrayal of a group of individuals forced loose into a situation with a set of rules: a pre-existent script, a set of props, a confined space, live sound manipulation by sound artist Stijn Dickel and the Erbarme Dich of Johann Sebastian Bach. The first cut is a film in 5 chapters.
