Men have to live cheek by jowel in jail. Hot sweaty male bodies, ripe and fragrant easily stink up the building. There is an unmistakable "musk" in the air of sweaty balls, piss, arseholes, armpits, dinner and skunk. The screws try to keep it down to at least tolerable levels.
